Test Preparation – Speaking, Listening, and Vocabulary

Teacher:

Teacher Anna received two degrees from Michigan State University, a Ph.D. in Violin, and a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She was an adjunct instructor at MSU’s English Language Center. She previously served as executive director of Friendship House MSU and has taught many classes to Internationals over the years.

Description:

This test-preparation course aims to strengthen participants’ speaking, listening, and vocabulary skills for success in proficiency tests such as the TOEFL. Our content focus will be selected movies, sit-com episodes, and TED Talks that participants will view before class. In addition, participants will receive target vocabulary and speaking topics related to the viewing material to review and prepare for in-class discussions, timed speaking activities and listening practice.
