Welcome to the class! Please let me know how we can be most helpful to you. Students are encouraged to ask questions and to request topics they would like to explore. You are always welcome to contact me by e-mail.
This class offers friendly conversation and English speaking experiences using high interest topics. You are welcome to also add thoughts to the zoom chat, bring visuals to class or screen share visual prompts to support the conversations. Here are some suggestions for our topics. We can also adjust based on interest.
March 6: Friendship – What characteristics do you appreciate in a friend? What do you like to do with friends? Follow up from last week – recommendations for TV/movie viewing options.
March 13: Thankfulness – What are you thankful for?
March 20: Curiosity – Asking questions to learn more from others in our conversation. Where do you like to travel? What places would you like to see?
March 27: Perseverance: What is a goal that you used perseverance to achieve? What is a skill or talent that you would like to share?
April 3: No class with Michelle
April 10: Tradition – What is a spring tradition that you enjoy?
April 17: Tradition Cont. – What are some traditions surrounding Lent and Easter? What are some questions you have about Lent and Easter?
April 24: Celebration – What is one food that you associate with celebration? Or describe one food product you enjoy in Michigan.
