Frankenmuth Field Trip – Teacher Jan
Usually occurs in middle December
This day trip is organized with the help of teacher Jan, and students and their families are welcome to join in this day of fun in the old town of Frankenmuth.
We usually start by visiting the largest Christmas store in the world. Then we got to know the center of Frankenmuth, had lunch and captured some moments with the Christmas decorations. Soon after, we stop at the Weiss Family Dairy Farm to make and eat our delicious pretzels. To finish, we visited the Reiner Home where we saw wonderful Christmas decorations inside and outside the house.
Annual Christmas Party – Friendship House
Usually takes place before Christmas
This event begins with a Christmas decoration party at the Friendship House, where we invite students to get into the Christmas spirit—a perfect time to create stories and connections as a global family. After this period, we prepare for a party, usually a potluck, around Christmas. International students bring dishes from their own countries; we share recipes and celebrate an early and international Christmas together. Cindy (Dan’s wife) always delights us with her pumpkin roll, which has become a favorite among the attendees and Amy (Dan’s daughter) visit us from North Carolina.
