Teacher Sunny

Sunny is an experienced UI/UX designer and educator with a Master’s in Education and a background in Communication Arts and Computer Science. Over the last two decades, she has balanced her professional career with a passion for teaching and author. Beyond her professional job, she was involved with StarKids International Mission Group, and taught children of Mongolia, Nepal, Myanmar, and Egypt. She is delighted to be a member of the Friendship House team.

Join us for a fun and engaging English book club designed for international adult learners.

In this class, we will read The London Eye Mystery together while improving English reading, vocabulary, speaking, and critical thinking skills. Each week, we will discuss the story, characters, and clues, share opinions, learn useful expressions, and practice speaking in a friendly and supportive environment.

No advanced English is required. Participants should be comfortable reading at approximately an AR Level 4.5 and be willing to participate in group discussions.
What You’ll Do
    • Read assigned chapters each week
    • Learn new vocabulary and useful expressions
    • Discuss the mystery and make predictions
    • Build reading confidence
Who Should Join?
    • International adult English learners
    • Intermediate English learners (approximately CEFR B1–C1)
    • Adults who enjoy reading
    • Anyone looking to improve English in a relaxed, supportive community
