Practicing English Pronunciations

Teacher Tim has a Master’s degree in English and taught in the writing programs at Lansing Community College for over 30 years. He has taught English at Friendship House for several years.

We will spend our time examining several common but challenging pronunciation sounds used in spoken English.  You will have the opportunity to hear these sounds and to practice saying them, and I will provide some very basic descriptions of how these sounds are produced.  You are also invited to bring in words or word forms that you have difficulty pronouncing, and we will practice those as well!
