ESL: First Steps in English – Level 1

Lynn is a retired public-school teacher.  She has a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL).  She has taught English to language learners for over 8 years in both a private and classroom setting, including A+ Language School.

New to English? No problem! This class is for those students whose English skills
are limited to a few known words or phrases. In this class you will be practicing
listening to, speaking, reading, and writing English. New language points are
taught and practiced as visually as possible, using images and graphics to help you
understand and remember. There will be lots of opportunities for review and
practice of new skills. A textbook and workbook will be used to guide and support
the lessons along with other interactive activities, such as games and stories to
help develop and reinforce learning. My goal is to build your confidence and skill,
and also to provide you with an experience you enjoy!
