English Conversation and Pronunciation Practice

Teacher Jen Garmon holds a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor’s degree in English from Michigan State University. She taught literature, writing, and grammar at the high school level for over a decade, and now works as an elementary school librarian. 

This six-week class will offer practice in reading, writing, and conversation, with an opportunity to work on specific pronunciation sounds. Each lesson will include a word list for pronunciation practice, a short article or essay excerpt about American culture or cuisine, time to write a response, and some conversation starters to start discussion. Classes are intended to offer a fun challenge in an encouraging environment.
