Book Club

Teacher Laura leads this Book Club. She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and is an adjunct instructor at MSU’s English Language Center.

Let’s learn about the brave American Pioneers who first settled the western part of our country. We will read the children’s classic book Little House in the Big Woods, which takes us through a year in the life of a little girl who lives with her family in a log cabin in the woods during the 1860’s.. We will explore new vocabulary and discuss the interesting history and lifestyle of American pioneers. Each chapter of the book tells a different story, so it is not necessary to attend all meetings in order to participate in the class.
