Teacher Ruby is a graduate student at Michigan State University, pursuing a Master’s degree in Health and Risk Communication. Originally from Chongqing, China, she has a background in international communication and a strong interest in health education and cross-cultural storytelling.
Description:
This course introduces the basics of nutrition and healthy eating in a fun and accessible way. We will build English communication skills through discussions, activities, and hands-on topics related to food and nutrition. We will learn about key nutrients, how to read food labels, how to make balanced meal choices, and how different foods affect our health and energy. We will also explore food culture — comparing eating habits from around the world with American dietary patterns. No science background is needed. All are welcome!
