Talking Architecture & Making Art from Everyday Object
Teacher Phoebe
Teacher Yudi is an architectural designer with degrees in architecture from University of Virginia and environmental building science from University of Pennsylvania. She enjoys teaching, crafting, and creative making.
Description:
This course is all about talking, thinking, and creating around architecture—no design experience needed! Each week, we’ll start with playful questions like: What’s the worst building you’ve ever seen? or Do glass buildings feel too cold? What’s the story behind your own home design? Through group conversations, we’ll look at how architecture affects our lives, what makes a building “beautiful” or “bad,” and how culture, comfort, and design come together. In the second part of the course, we’ll get creative! Using everyday objects, we’ll make simple modern art projects that teach us about color, composition, and space in a hands-on way.
Time: Monday 10:00 – 11:00 AM
