34th Annual Meeting Invitation

Friendship House Community,

On Thursday, April 30th (my last day officially as the executive director) we are having our annual business meeting (which will be held at University Lutheran Church) and an open house after the business meeting here at the Friendship House so that English speaking supporters (and potential volunteers) can see the house and our international community members in person.

As in the past, we need the involvement of our international community to attend and participate in the business meeting and be a participant in our open house after the meeting. We need:

  • A couple of guest speakers, to share their experience here in a brief 2-3 minute presentation.
  • As many testimonials as possible, in 25 to 50 words about your experience here that we can put in the program.
  • Participation at the open house…We would like to showcase international food so if you would like to prepare a small dish or dessert, that would be awesome. If you don’t want to bring a dish to share, please still come to interact with our guests…Talk about your experience in the English classes, Bible classes, Cooking classes, Sewing classes and we’ll even have Zoom up for those who aren’t in person to show off this feature on connecting with the world.

If you are interested in participating in any of the ways mentioned above, please use this link to sign up to tell us how you would like to participate in the meeting and post meeting open house. Please respond no later than Friday, February 13th.

If you only want to attend the business meeting and or open house, you will receive a separate invitation from me in the near future so please be on the lookout for that and know that everyone is welcome to come to both parts of the gathering that day.

Please let me know if you have any questions and pray everyone stays safe and warm through this bitter cold weather!

Dan
